The Public Association Partnerships for New Economy (PNE) presented the results of the opinion poll "The Entrepreneurs Barometer: Building the Future of the Republic of Moldova" (the report is available in the Publications section) on September 30, and the following day - October 1 - the organization's representatives participated in the launch event of a similar study in Romania.

At the Bucharest event, organized by New Money magazine, the PNE team reviewed the key findings of the survey conducted among Moldova's business community, underlining the high expectations of local entrepreneurs regarding the country's economic development in the context of European Union accession.
"European integration represents a unique opportunity for the modernization and development of the Republic of Moldova, especially in the current context marked by unprecedented challenges. The war in Ukraine has generated instability in the region and significantly impacted our economy. Nevertheless, the European path remains not only an anchor of stability but also a sure route to prosperity. This process not only aligns our country with European standards and values but can also bring tangible benefits in terms of investment, knowledge transfer, and access to new markets. For entrepreneurs and the economy as a whole, the European path means predictability, stability, and unparalleled growth opportunities despite difficult regional conditions,"
emphasized Natalia Gavrilița, Director of the Partnerships for New Economy.

Participants at the event noted the greater optimism among Moldovan entrepreneurs regarding the economic prospects of Moldova compared to the perceptions of their Romanian counterparts, explaining this fact with the anticipation of EU accession - a similar phenomenon being observed in the neighboring country on the eve of its entry into the European bloc.
Additionally, Moldovan businesspeople expressed greater trust in the local and central public authorities compared to Romanian entrepreneurs.
"This result suggests a broad support in the business community for the direction we are moving in and, implicitly, for the general course of development promoted by the leadership in Chișinău,"
he stated Dumitru Pântea, associate expert of PNE.

The organizers of the studies in the two countries agreed to systematically measure the business environment's pulse regarding the most important socio-economic issues.
The delegation of the Republic of Moldova at the event in Bucharest included the founders of the organization – the director of PNE Natalia Gavrilița, the deputy director Sergiu Litvinenko, the director of operations Gheorghe Iudin – as well as entrepreneurs and journalists from Chisinau publications.
